Increase Maximum Field Length (a lot)#235

The current maximum seems to be 240 characters.
This is far to short and restrictive especially when adding HTML eg. links with long file paths. I would suggest at least 2048 characters if there has to be a limit. Other plugins are less restictive and I am having to use TablePress for one application although for virtually all other aspects of the plugin I would prefer wpDataTables.

Good point. Just commenting here, but if long URLs are the issue, could a link shortener (e.g. Bitly or TinyURL) help, at least until wpDataTables changes the limit..? Would be too troublesome shortening all links manually though, if there are numerous links that have to be stored…
