Thinking about the possibility to make differents tables with differents data with this plugin, I think the date format configuration should not be in the main settings tab. It would should to define table each table, no only a option for all the site; so many how you need about each table.
If you need a table show day by day, but other month by month, it isn´t possible.
Strongly agree with this.
