Subject: Restricting Editing of Rows Based on Column Value in wpDataTables
Dear Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to inquire about the possibility of implementing a feature in the wpDataTables plugin that restricts users from editing rows where a specific column has a certain value, such as “validated.” Additionally, we would like to ensure that this particular column can only be edited by an administrator.
Could you please let me know if this functionality is currently available or if there is a recommended approach or workaround to achieve this?
For us, it is a much-needed solution, and we would like to know how we could collaborate to make this function possible. I even propose a simple solution based on conditional formatting options for the column or field, where instead of changing the color of cells, rows, or CSS, the action would simply be to lock the editing of the record when the condition is met. ;_-)
Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance.
Best regards,
Pablo Chamorro
